Ani has been immersed in music since childhood, culminating in earning a Minor in Music Performance alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2024. She is currently pursuing an additional degree in music with a focus on musicology. Ani has trained extensively in both classical and contemporary vocal techniques and has developed proficiency in piano, bass, harp, and mandolin. She has been teaching students privately for five years. With over two decades of performance experience, Ani's musical journey has included participation in choirs across multiple states and countries, performances at events such as the Bend A Cappella Festival and the South Coast Clambake Music Festival, and collaborations with contemporary bands. Her work with instrumentalists in recording sessions has honed her skills in audio production and songwriting, which she also applies to support her students in their song creation endeavors. In addition to her live performance experience, Ani is adept at teaching techniques for self-soothing and overcoming stage anxiety. Whether performing as a solo vocalist or as part of an ensemble, Ani thrives in diverse musical settings. Since beginning her teaching career, Ani has been committed to fostering musical growth in students of various ages and abilities. She specializes in voice, particularly contemporary and jazz styles with an emphasis on belting, while also incorporating classical training methods as needed. Additionally, Ani provides instruction in piano, electric and upright bass, harp, and mandolin, catering to various skill levels and genres, including folk, rock, and jazz. Her teaching approach is rooted in adaptability and inclusivity, creating a safe and encouraging environment where students can explore their creativity and achieve their musical goals. Ani's professional experience in behavioral management and working with neurodivergent individuals brings a unique perspective to her teaching practice. She excels at tailoring lessons to meet individual needs, ensuring that every student feels understood and valued. Her time living overseas in South America has further enhanced her cultural competency and patience in interpersonal communication.
