Lorraine is a passionate, committed pianist and teacher. Her life-fulfilling passion of inspiring children’s lives through music remains the heartbeat of her teaching. In addition to being a member of OMTA and MTNA, Lorraine holds national certification through MTNA. 

Lorraine completed her Masters in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Samford University in May 2023. Serving as President of Samford’s Collegiate MTNA Chapter and secured a grant to update, modernize, and digitalize Samford’s piano pedagogy library. Her research and presentations Schenkerian Analysis for Beginners, Aphantasia, The Art of Listening, The Pedagogical Literature of Stephen Heller, and Mentally Thriving: Promoting Mental Health in the Private Lesson, showcase her dedication to the field of pedagogy. In October of 2021, she performed in a Winners Recital after placing second in Samford’s Fletcher and Nell Morris Piano Competition. In May 2021, Lorraine joined the faculty at Samford’s Academy of the Arts as a private piano instructor and judged at local festivals and AMTA competitions.
