Classical training. Great with all ages. Very patient. She is a pianist who enjoys applying her knowledge of various international teaching styles to her work as a private piano instructor. While living in Germany, Susanna studied piano under concert pianist, Miyuki Kreutz-Kita, and violin under concert violinist, Dr. Myriam Cottin-Rack. Susanna went on to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, training in piano performance under Dr. Joseph DiPiazza. She also had the opportunity to study music for a semester at Keele University in England, where she trained under concert pianists Dr. Michael Bell and Tatyana Iskandarova. Susanna earned her B.A. in Music in June, 2017, graduating Summa Cum Laude with International Honors.
Upon graduation, Susanna returned to Germany where she taught private piano lessons to a studio of approximately fifty students. After a successful year of teaching and organizing recitals, she relocated to Oregon where she has been teaching at Happy Valley Arts Academy ever since. Susanna continues to explore different pedagogical methods, her own style of teaching being influenced by the Kodály inspired method for young beginners, Dogs and Birds, the Robert Pace method, as well as European and Russian derived sources.
